AccessiWidget: Privacy Policy

1. About AccessiWidget

AccessiWidget is a Shopify app developed by JetBlok Studio that adds an accessibility toolbar to online storefronts. This policy explains how AccessiWidget collects, uses, and protects data from both Shopify merchants and their storefront visitors.

2. Data Collected from Merchants

When a merchant installs AccessiWidget, the app accesses limited Shopify store data through Shopify's authenticated API. This includes:

• Shop name and domain
• Theme information (to install the widget via theme app extension)
• Billing and subscription status

This data is used solely to operate the app, manage subscriptions, and deliver the widget to the merchant's storefront. Merchant data is stored securely on servers hosted by Railway and is never sold or shared with third parties.

3. Data Collected from Storefront Visitors

AccessiWidget is designed with visitor privacy as a priority. The widget:

• Does not collect personal information from visitors (no names, emails, IP addresses, or identifiers)
• Does not use cookies
• Does not track visitors across sites
• Stores visitor accessibility preferences (such as font size, contrast, and profile selections) in the browser's localStorage only, this data never leaves the visitor's device

4. Anonymous Usage Analytics

AccessiWidget may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as which accessibility features are toggled most frequently. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used to improve the widget's functionality and user experience.

5. Third-Party Services

AccessiWidget integrates with the following third-party services:

• Shopify: For app installation, authentication, billing, and theme integration
• Railway: For secure server hosting and data storage
• Google Fonts CDN: For loading accessibility-friendly fonts (OpenDyslexic, Lexend, Atkinson Hyperlegible)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. No visitor data is shared with any of these services.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect merchant data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Shopify's session token system, and access controls on our server infrastructure. Visitor preference data stored in localStorage is inherently protected as it never leaves the visitor's browser.

7. Data Retention

Merchant data is retained for the duration of the app installation. When a merchant uninstalls AccessiWidget, their data is deleted from our servers. Visitor preferences stored in localStorage persist until the visitor clears their browser data.

8. Your Rights

Merchants and visitors have the right to:

• Access information we hold about them
• Request correction or deletion of their data
• Object to data processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

Merchants can uninstall AccessiWidget at any time from their Shopify admin to cease all data collection. Visitors can clear localStorage in their browser settings to remove stored preferences.

9. Children's Privacy

AccessiWidget does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made. We encourage merchants and visitors to review this policy periodically.
